The HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK was founded as a non-profit organization in 2003 in Vienna, according to the Austrian Law. Since 2002 the team, consisting of highly motivated young people, has been working on the realization of this challenging initiative.

Everybody talks about networking – we do it!

“In today's crazy world, networks play a crucial role. Particularly because of the rapid development of information and communication technologies, they can be found in all spheres of our life. These interpersonal networks, which as a critical factor of success have gained an enormous importance, are well-known by all career-oriented individuals. Competent management of connections opens new perspectives, accelerates one’s own progress and supports one’s own career. Despite all these advantages, however weird it may seem, networking nowadays has a bad reputation. An existing erroneous belief states that networking supports career but has nothing to do with one's own achievement. Belief is belief, but in order to realize the significance of networking you have to draw an imaginary line - a distinct line between nepotism and strategic and systematic networking. Developing a network, building life-long contacts and maintaining them – in other words networking itself – is nothing that happens by chance. It is something that has to be done actively. Successful networking is a very intensive task, requiring contribution of time, endeavours and personal resources.

Active networking is a hard thing to accomplish, however the rewards are stellar.

Chicago,IL, USA, June of 2001- Within the framework of an international economic project, 110 outstanding Junior Achievers from all corners of the world journeyed towards the great city of Chicago to represent their countries at an international conference organized by Junior Achievement International, Marmon Group Global Trade Institute and Illinois Institute of Technology. However, after nine days of having lectures and workshops on becoming a successful entrepreneur, running a business, and integrating to the world everybody departed carrying that information and that fabulous experience with them back.

Yet some of the participants of this conference realized the importance of that exceptional opportunity once given to them and decided to continue enriching and developing that experience. They began with the development of an idea- the idea of creating a global network of people who want to make a drastic change and who have motivation to pursue their goals. The vision was quite inspiring, but later there arose many issues which were impossible to realize. The dream turned into a goal. A goal that seemed to be out of reach. Only who aims his goals higher then others do will reach the best possible and will cross borders.

Two years of investing personal resources, time and energy, the project HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK was called upon action in Austria with the support of „EADS Space Transportation “. This achievement was followed by the establishment of an independent NGO which was aimed to direct the dynamic development of the project.

Today, three years have passed and the organisation already has members of 32 different countries. Much has been realised, however, much still need to be achieved.

The challenge fuels our spirit – till our goal.

 





Networking as a critical factor of success.

At this point, the HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK continues to pursue its goal, which is the creation of a global network. This is a network of young goal-oriented individuals with high potential, an active coordinating interface for supporting networking of young talents.

The HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK has its primary focus on young individuals with high level of self-motivation and inspiration, with potential for the future, who strive to create their own tomorrow. These "tomorrow's leaders" are brought together on an independent platform. The main goal is to support the development of the members' personal network.

For the accomplishment of this mission a web-based platform has been created in order to support communication and creative initiatives. It is impossible to buy a network of social connections – one's own initiative is the point. Networking can be supported with specific impulses. The HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK has its main purpose on creating a strong life-long network and wants to support the development of synergies.

A strong network is the result of maintaining one's own connections. A strong network cannot be built overnight. Therefore, it is our goal to create a sustainable network. A network of "tomorrow's leaders" of different sectors like economy, politics and science, a linkage of a myriad of nationalities and cultures.

Sustainability and potential as crucial factors for prosperity!
As our members develop themselves, they simultaneously make the network stronger. Looking ahead, the network of "tomorrow's leaders" will unfold its full potential and become a network of "today's leaders". This concept clarifies the enormous possibilities that a membership within the network can open. At the moment, the young network already has members from 32 different countries.

The HIGH POTENTIAL NETWORK has great goals. The highest requirements on quality, creativity and concentration on a particular task-this is what we call the support of networking. We do not simply talk about networking, we actually do it!
